Dr. Molano is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and had his Orthopaedic residency at UST Hospital. He had his Fellowship training in Arthroscopic Surgery & Sports Medicine at the Singapore General Hospital. Dr. Molano continues to update his skills by attending workshops at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Shoulder Arthroscopy Course in Rosemont, Illinois (2003 and 2004), as well as the Arthroscopy Association of North America, The Masters Experience in Hip Arthroscopy (March 2007). He is the Head of the USTH Orthopaedic Learning Center, and has so far organized arthroscopic & cadaveric workshops of the shoulder, knee and hip and live-interactive surgery workshops, joint replacement cadaveric workshops, to train Filipino and foreign Orthopaedic Surgeons from the ASEAN region. Aside from the traditional techniques, he now performs Minimally-Invasive Quadriceps-Sparing (MIS-QS) Total Knee Replacement, Double-Bundle and Anatomic ACL Reconstruction. He is the Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Orthopaedics at UST Hospital and presently the President of the Philippine Shoulder Society. He has delivered numerous talks in local and foreign meetings.
Dr. Nuñez obtained his medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine & Surgery and his Orthopaedic training at UST Hospital. He underwent further training in Shoulder Arthroscopy at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital in South Korea under Dr. Joo Han Oh. Dr. Nuñez is the first Southeast Asian Surgeon to receive specialty training in Advanced Shoulder Arthroscopy and Shoulder Arthroplasty at the world-famous Alps Surgery Institute in Annecy, France under Dr. Laurent Lafosse, internationally acknowledged as the leading shoulder arthroscopist in the world today. His training with Dr. Lafosse focuses on techniques that are at the forefront of shoulder surgery. These advanced treatments that were previously only available in Europe are now accessible to Filipino shoulder patients locally. Dr. Nuñez is actively involved in education, he has trained numerous Orthopaedic Surgeons from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. He has delivered lectures and had also performed a number of live surgery demonstrations both here in Asia and Europe.
Dr. Munji is the newest addition to the Shoulder and Knee Clinic Manila family. He is a homegrown talent from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine & Surgery and UST Hospital’s Orthopaedic Training. After being mentored by Dr. Alberto Molano and Raymond Nuñez, Dr. Munji furthered his Orthopaedic subspecialty by also doing his fellowship in Annecy, France with Dr. Laurent Lafosse – who’s still the world reference for Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery for Rotator Cuff Tears, Shoulder Arthritis and Shoulder Instability. Currently, Dr. Munji has been given the opportunity to speak both nationally and internationally about the advances of arthroscopic shoulder surgery and is deeply involved in University residency training and development. Together with Raymond Nuñez, he has pushed for world-class shoulder treatment and quality care for Filipino patients.
